While there are a variety of IV infusions available to treat various rheumatic conditions, they all have one singular goal in mind: reducing the inflammation in your joints caused by your rheumatic disease and offering you relief from pain, discomfort and a loss of mobility.
Infusion treatments provided at our infusion suite at Southland Rheumatology Center include:
We understand that no two patients are the same, and that each of these medications has different durations and frequencies of administration. We’ll discuss your treatment thoroughly with you, helping you to select the infusion that works best for your specific needs.
IV infusion therapy is just one of the services we offer at Southland Rheumatology Center, and after thorough conversations with your rheumatologist, we’ll be able to determine if IV therapy is right for you. We generally provide the following solutions for patients:
If you’re struggling with any of the above, it’s time to consider IV therapy as a long-term solution to your pain, discomfort and loss of mobility. Reach out to us to learn more -- Dr. Nayak and her team are happy to discuss your options with you!
The length of your infusion process will depend on the type of infusion you’ve opted to receive. Some infusions take 30 minutes to an hour, while others can take up to four hours. After a thorough conversation about your individual needs, your rheumatologist will help you determine which infusion is best for you.
This is another factor that will be determined by which type of IV infusion you choose. After certain infusions, you may feel relief after one or two doses, while others can offer longer-term relief after a longer period of time. Your rheumatologist will work alongside you to determine which one is right for your needs.
